Lamon Hospital

Located right in the centre of the village, a few dozen metres from the Town Hall, Lamon Hospital has changed its appearance over the last few decades, in line with the redesign of regional and national health policies.

Built in 1912 as the "Casa Charitas" hospital-recovery, by the tenacious Giuseppe Campigotto "Balin", at the end of the '60s of the last century the structure was modernized and transformed into a real hospital with a complete medical vocation for the care of the local community. In the last few decades, the Lamon hospital has gradually increased its specialist mission, first in the ULSS 2 in Feltre, and then in the new Health Unit no. 1 "Dolomiti", of which the Lamon structure is now the primary core of the Functional Recovery and Rehabilitation Unit, with particular reference to physical and rehabilitative medicine treatments related to acute and chronic pathologies.

The hospital has also been identified, in this regard, as a centre of regional interest for this type of treatment and will be the subject of a major upgrading and expansion in the coming years, which should be completed in 2023.
