Sala, Le Ei, Passo Croce di Costion, Val Maor

Departure/arrival: Lamon / Costa

The route, of average difficulty, has a total length of 13.5 km which can be covered in about 5 hours. The difficulty is rewarded by the numerous points of interest in the landscape and anthropic flora and fauna that it offers.

The starting point is Lamon, from which, with a path that is sometimes embedded like a trench in the crumbly red rock flake, you climb up to high altitude. After passing through Baita alla Siega and Sala, you reach Le Ei. Here there is the possibility of refreshment and overnight stay, and you can see numerous testimonies of human activities of the past. Just above the village, between the enormous layer of rock debris that descends from Monte Coppolo, passes the bend - fault of the "Valsugana sud". All around, the meadows offer impressive landscape suggestions in all seasons. Once past the magnificent beeches of "Cappelli", the path continues along the ridge of the Costino where at Passo Croce di Costion it crosses path 5 to Pezzè and finally quickly reaches Costa.
