Get ready to be surprised. The entire plateau is in fact a real paradise for gourmets, who can enjoy a variety of gastronomic specialties made with local and traditional products. For those who are lucky enough to taste some of them, here is a short list of some dishes to be tasted absolutely:
Cartufole e fasöi: this is the typical soup, based on potatoes and beans.
Fasöi co la ẑeola: a tasty salad, made with beans and plenty of onion. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of this dish: in this way, King Fagiolo di Lamon offers unexpected emotions to the palate.
Menestrin: it is a very soft bean cream, very thick. Try to taste it even cold, as it used to be done in the past. You will be surprised by its delicately enveloping taste.
Pendolon: so called perhaps because, inserted into the sleeve of the jacket closed with a tie, it accompanied dangling the path of those who did not return home to eat. As it was then, today it is a rich and complete dish, made with cooked potatoes, beans, onions and seasoning all mixed together.
Carn de fea 'nfurmigàa: if you love meat, it is a dish not to be missed! Once the main food of shepherds, these delicious "steaks" of sheep meat are smoked with juniper, which gives them a unique aroma. Carn de fea 'nfurmigàa is included in the List of Traditional Agri-food Products according to Ministerial Decree 350/99.
Puina: is the ricotta, which you can find infurmigàa (smoked) or fresh, to be enjoyed either alone or with fried tiles or gnocchi.
