The small museum is located near the square of Lamon and collects the finds found during the archaeological excavations conducted between 2000 and 2009 at the Piasentot of San Donato.
Already between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century in the area had been brought to light by Monsignor Pietro Tiziani some tombs and parts of the trousseau.
More than a century later, the opening of a new forest-pastoral road brought to light some burial burials in burial (I-III century) with the presence of bronze coins, fibulae and an iron knife.
The archaeological investigation carried out by the Superintendence for the Archaeological Heritage of Veneto has led to the discovery of an extensive necropolis consisting of about seventy tombs and with a chronological period of attendance extended from the middle of the first century AD to the fourth century AD.
It is curious that the people, adult men and women, were buried in an almost sitting position with their heads turned to the east. The objects that accompanied them on their journey to the afterlife, and which can now be seen in the museum, are many, of good quality and attesting to a certain comfort. The Museum is open at fixed times during the summer, with reservations for the rest of the year.
